FREEDOM OF INFORMATION

Arrangements will be made for viewing and/or copies if required,  if the information is available in the public domain. Some information may be considered confidential and therefore not available.

Charges for providing the information:

Public authorities are allowed to charge a fee for responding to requests. The amount that can be charged is set out in regulations (The F.O.I. and Data Protection(Appropriate limits and fees) Regulations 2004 S.I.3244 2004. Guidance can be found at http://www.dca.gov.ui.foi/fees guide.htm) The Freedom of Information Act also allows for public authorities to decline to comply with certain requests for information on the grounds of cost, where these requests would be particularly expensive and would exceed the ‘appropriate limit.’
